Well summer's here and we don't feel like fighting. We feel like loading up the disc player and hitting the open road. Along the way we'll be listening to discs from old friends and some new groups that have caught our ear.

Compared to her past history a new Lucinda Williams disc coming so quick after her last one got our head spinning. It's a bit of a departure, but we're in love with it already. Her good friends Duane Jarvis and Jim Lauderdale also have new releases this month.

Reissue fans will find quite an array of titles to choose from as usual. Not the least of which is a fantastic one disc collection of Tom T. Hall. For those of you who like to go back to the roots of country music will be thrilled with releases from Wynn Stewart and the Monroe Brothers to name a few.

April's reissue of Tom Rush's "Merimack County/Ladies Love Outlaws" continues to be a problem. We are working with the label to get them as soon as possible. We'll get to the bottom of it one way or another. Just as we were getting ready to go to press we received word that Steve Forbert "Live At The Bottom Line", Marty Robbins "Live Classics" and Truck Driver's Boogie from last month have been delayed until June 12th. So be patient they're almost on the way.

If you're a Ramblin' Jack Elliott fan (who isn't) check the end of the mailer for some special treats that you'll just have to add to the collection.

One last thing we have a very limited supply of a live Bob Dylan compilation from Japan with some rare tracks, and a Stacey Earle EP with some live tracks. If you want these discs grab them now, it could be your only chance. If you're planning on sending in a check with your order I would advise you to call ahead and reserve them before hand.
