Every good and true artist has their day with a major label. Maybe it works, maybe it doesn't. Danny Cox, legendary Kansas City folk singer with a 50-year career going, made this album for ABC/Dunhill back in 1971, when Kansas City's music scene was getting national attention. The big producer, the big band, the San Francisco studio. And the result was this exhuberant, soulful and quirky album, mostly of Danny's original songs. While it's more of a band sound, and Danny's acoustic guitar work is not showcased as on "Sunny", his voice is what it's all about. NOTE: This CD is a transfer from vinyl, as master tapes no longer exist. PROMISE: The sales from this CD go to Danny himself.
