Here's where it all began for the Rainmakers. The original trio, STEVE BOB & RICH, recorded this self-produced album in 1984 during the first year of the band's existence. Stripped down versions of songs that would later appear on The Rainmakers major label debut, plus other strong originals capture the band lean and hungry and in all their 3-piece glory. The remix and remastering makes it sound like you are sitting in the room with the band, as most cuts were recorded completely live in the studio. And speaking of live - the seven live bonus tracks from a night at the Blue Note in Columbia, MO, in 1985 show why the band's live performances are legendary. Wild and weird covers and rockin' originals are here in a very hi-fi live recording. A nice color booklet of lyrics, reviews, and photos. No Rainmakers fan can be without this one.
Live bonus tracks: Subterranean Homesick Blues (Dylan) (Bob) Rough Boys (Townsend*) (Rich) Don't Let Go (original*) (Steve) ? Nasty Man (?) (Bob) Rockin All Over the World (Fogerty*) (Steve) Let My People Go-Go (original*) (Bob) Switchblade (Link Wray)
