This all new compilation concentrates on Tom’s early years with his original band. The best of his Philo recordings are all here in great sound and still sounding as fresh today as when they did them. In addition to the album tracks this set also offers three very rare tracks that have never been released anywhere. Among those are one he wrote with Greg Trooper, the original demo of “Hong Kong Boy.” For those who have most of his recent output and don’t know where to start with his older material this disc is for you. All of the released songs come from essential albums and this is a great way to sample what is on them.
