As you know if you spend much time around here we’re big fans of Picott and his music. This all new duet album with Amanda Shires is the best early Christmas present we’ve received around here. A full disc of all originals written and performed by just them. His guitar work wrapped around her violin make for all the backing these songs need. Although I like what Chip Taylor and Carrie Rodriguez do, this is much better for a lot of reasons. This one just flows with an ambience and charm that is hard to resist.
