Yes Virginia, Peter Case was in a band before the Plimsouls. They were a high energy garage pop band that emerged from the L.A. punk and new wave scene in 1975. This full disc contains their lone EP as well as a track from their next incarnation, The Breakaways and even the Plimsouls. It’s all rounded out with live cuts and demos mostly making their debut here. Twenty rockin’ tracks in all. To be delicate here, a lot of the music from that scene sounds like garbage today. This stuff however retains its youthful exuberance and vitality. Owing in large part to the talent of this band and its trio of members.
